Mission-critical engineering, told through design

GTD is a high-tech company that designs, integrates and operates complex mission-critical applications and systems worldwide. It works in demanding sectors —space, aerospace, scientific facilities, critical infrastructure and ports and maritime— where nothing can fail.

GTD didn't need a website, but an ecosystem: national and international corporate presence and, at the same time, specific solution sites for different industrial sectors, all under one brand.

And it had to break away from the flat, predictable look of engineering websites. The challenge was to make visible the potential of a company that operates in space, the air, science and ports, without the website falling short.

We opted for a highly visual foundation that made the most of GTD's presence across its sectors, with powerful imagery, clear content, and typography and spacing that let the information breathe. First, the conceptualisation: new information architecture, navigation systems and wireframes for every template. Then, the complete graphic system.

We implemented it on a Drupal CMS able to meet its availability and security requirements. We loaded the content in three languages, trained GTD's team to manage its ecosystem with total autonomy, and deployed and optimised everything on high-performance hosting.
