Accessibility statement

Digital Bakers wants everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their abilities, device or assistive technology. This statement explains the level of accessibility we have reached, how we checked it, and what to do if you run into a barrier.
Scope
This statement applies to the website digitalbakers.com in its three language versions (Spanish, Catalan and English).
It does not cover the third-party sites we link to (for example, our LinkedIn and X profiles) or the websites of the clients we present as case studies: each of those has its own statement.
Reference standard
We design and build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the W3C Recommendation published on 5 October 2023 (current edition of 12 December 2024), whose 2023 version is also international standard ISO/IEC 40500:2025.
In Europe, the harmonised accessibility standard for ICT products and services is EN 301 549. Its version 4.1.1 (September 2026) adopts WCAG 2.2 Level AA for web content; until the European Commission publishes its reference in the Official Journal of the European Union, the cited version remains 3.2.1, based on WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
This site is informational and provides none of the services covered by Spain’s Law 11/2023 of 8 May, which transposes the European Accessibility Act. We publish this statement voluntarily, following the structure of the European Union’s model accessibility statement (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523) and the W3C’s recommendations, because accessibility is part of what we do for our clients and we want to hold ourselves to the same standard.
Conformance status
This website is fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
“Fully conformant” means that the content meets all Level A and Level AA success criteria, without exceptions.
Non-accessible content
As of the last review, we are not aware of any content on this site that fails WCAG 2.2 Level AA. If you find any, please let us know through the channel below: we will fix it and, in the meantime, list it in this section.
As stated under “Scope”, the third-party content we link to is outside the scope of this statement.
How we evaluated the site
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out by Digital Bakers, prepared on 15 September 2026, using the following method:
- Automated checks on every change. Before any change is published, every page of the site is analysed with axe-core against the WCAG 2.2 AA rules, in the light and the dark theme separately, and must pass a minimum Lighthouse accessibility score. A failure blocks publication.
- Manual review before every significant change. Automated tools catch only part of the real barriers, so a person goes through the site with a keyboard, with a screen reader (VoiceOver on macOS and iOS), in both themes, with the “reduce motion” preference on, at 320 pixels wide, and on real mobile devices.
We will review this statement at least once a year and whenever the site changes substantially. Last review of this statement: 15 September 2026.
What we have done to make the site accessible
- Clear structure. Every page has a single main title, ordered headings and identified regions (header, navigation, main content and footer). The first element when you press the Tab key is a “Skip to content” link.
- Keyboard use. Everything can be used with the keyboard alone, in a logical order. Focus is always visible, in both themes, and is never hidden behind the fixed header. The mobile menu keeps focus while open, closes with Escape and returns focus to the button that opened it.
- Contrast and themes. Text and control colours meet the Level AA contrast ratios in both the light and the dark theme, verified separately. You can switch theme from the header.
- Motion. We honour your system’s “reduce motion” preference: with it on, nothing on the site animates and all content is shown in full. There are no autoplaying videos and no flashing content.
- Text and size. You can enlarge text up to 200% and use the site at 320 pixels wide with no horizontal scrolling. Sizes are defined in relative units.
- Images and links. Every informative image carries alternative text, which our content management system requires before publishing; decorative images are marked as such. Links describe their destination out of context.
- Touch targets. Interface controls measure at least 44 × 44 pixels, and no interactive element is smaller than 24 × 24.
- No surprises. There are no time limits, no actions that require dragging with a mouse, and nothing opens or changes unless you ask for it.
- Languages. The site is available in Spanish, Catalan and English, and every page declares its language.
- No dependence on JavaScript for reading and navigation. The site’s content and navigation are available even with JavaScript disabled. Some interactive features require JavaScript.
Technologies and compatibility
The site relies on HTML, CSS, WAI-ARIA, JavaScript and SVG.
We check it in the current versions of Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (such as Edge), of Safari on macOS and iOS and of Chrome on Android, with VoiceOver as the screen reader. It is built on web standards to work with other assistive technologies such as NVDA, JAWS or TalkBack, although we do not verify those systematically. We do not guarantee that it works in browsers that no longer receive updates.
Feedback and contact
If you find an accessibility barrier on this site, or need any content in an alternative format, write to us at hello@digitalbakers.com. It helps if you tell us the page, the problem you found and the assistive technology you use.
We commit to replying within 10 working days and to fixing the problem as soon as possible.
Escalation
If you do not receive a reply, or you disagree with it, you can contact the Technical Support and Coordination Unit for the market surveillance authorities on accessibility requirements (UTAC) of the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda, created by Royal Decree 143/2026, of 25 February, as the contact point for complaints and claims about the accessibility of products and services subject to Act 11/2023: utac@dsca.gob.es. Although this site is not subject to that Act, it is the public reference channel on the matter. You can also contact the consumer affairs authority of your Spanish autonomous community.
